Caring For Y’all

Jewish Family Services cares deelply for all of it's friends and clients.
  • The “Caring for Y’all” program is a group of volunteers who provide “friendly visits” and other services to members of the Jewish community. We hope to make friends for life.
  • Our volunteers reach out and make regular visits to people in hospitals, those who live in nursing homes, assisted living, independent living, and those who live at home as well.
  • The program provides help in many different forms. This includes visits to the people are ill or recovering from illness or surgery, outreach to those who are isolated, transportation for those with special needs, and even trips to go shopping, out-to-lunch, and to the movies.
  • Jewish Family Service provides full volunteer training and support for all volunteers.
  • We follow the tradition of Bikur Cholim which is the mitzvah of visiting the sick.
